I am now a big fan of Ikea.

Gilaa best kot Ikea.

Not that I just got to know Ikea but since I bought a house and I am so into decorating my house, I've becoming a house decorator maniac.

So every week you can see my face at Ikea.

I found this cheap candle holder at Ikea for RM1.90...

And now all I need is a plate. You can use your un-used plate or you can even buy a cheap plate from Ikea for RM2.90...

And you will be needing a strong adhesive to combined it. (You can get a very cheap gam gajah at Mr DIY for 60 cent).

So here it is..

It cost you less than 5 ringgit weyhhh!!!!!

To make it more fancy, you can spray it with your own desirable color.

Am going to spray mine soon. Maybe today. Tgk kepada tahap kerajinan.

MTV Wedding Video by Us!

Our wedding MTV video... 

It is a blast to have all family members sang with us .

It is fun to see all kiddos dancing and try to sang along the song.

It is a happy moments to see all atuk, maktok, makcik, pakcik, kezen miming the songs.

I kind of loving it!! :) It makes me happy! :)

Review : Aisle

My canopy vendor x provide red carpet. Fine.

I requested my mum red carpet. Tak bagi. Fine.

Merajuk ngan mak. Pergi test skill pujuk dekat bapak.

Failed. Fine.

Diorang sgt bz with all the preparations. That's why diorang malas nak layan with my kerenahs.

I pulak, feeling-feeling nak jadi ratu sehari.

Nak laaa ada jalan specially made for myself to walk.

 Takkan laa nak redah celah-celahh meja kannn???

So I make myself an aisle. Simple je and of course, murah.

I alone pergi beli 3 begs of batu putih dekat kedai gardening.

Back home, semua pelik. Apa pulak idea minah ni.

So, I susun laaa batu tu aloneeeee at night. With the help of my 2 years old cousin.

Susun-susun-susun. Tak cukup. Deym!

Tukar strategi. Susun cara lain. Tak jadi. Try cara lain. 

Sampai laa batu-batu tu optimize digunakan.

Review : Pre-Wedding Photo

Since I'm planning to wear a gown during my reception, I bought a package yang ada 2 gowns, 2 coats and pre-wedding photoshoot and some miscellaneous from a Chinese bridal shop.

And since I am not interested nak buat buka poyo-konon cantik- konon romantik - konon sayang-menyayangi - konon whatever, Abdillah and I planned untuk buat muka konon cute untuk mintak penampar... :).

Jadi macam ni...

And so we decided to just have fun during our photoshoot.. We have 8 gowns to be chosen for pre-weds in total. Jadi, we have 8 different styles to pose to with themes.



Style 1 : Do what you want style

Style 2 : English Vintage.

Style 3 : Atuk and Opah
I am so inspired with P-ramlee. :) . Baju and kain batik borrowed from my grandma.

:) :)

Seriously, we have a lot of ideas. We wanted to do some unique and different and fun. Nanti bila tunjuk kat anak-anak in future, they would laugh to see how their pa & ma yang sgt coooolllll dulu dulu.

Since we want it to be perfectly done, we went to the shop a few times to see the studios wallpaper design, props that they have, gowns provided, how the make up being done and all.

We wanted the outcome worth the money we paid for. You should do the same to your photographer too. Make them entertain of what you want.

For the poses and style, we did some research. Read, see and learn.

We didnt wait for the photographers to tell what we should do. Kitaorang hentam apa saja. Till we were out of juices, baru we ask for the photographers of his ideas.


Andd, we watch a lot of ANTM.

I am not good in posing but at least I am very satisfied with my pre-wedding photo. Dah mmg bukan model kan.. :)

Review : DIY Guest Book Table

I think 90% of my decorations of wedding were made from papers!!! :)

I was so inspired with Martha Stewards Paper Flower. Sangat comel!  So me as a gigih person, make a huge amount of this kind of flower.

The flowers was then decorated boolatt with some extra leaves and small white flowers.

Crepe paper can be bought in Kedai Riben, Masjid Jamek for 40cent/pc.
Total cost for this decorated flower is around/less than RM30. :D

For guest book signage, I bought medium size mounting paper for RM1/pc dekat kedai stationery. I printed tulisan dia (choose your own font) and paste.

I bought paper puncher (flower design) for RM10 dekat Jaya Jusco. Pastu I punched guna used colored paper and HENTAM decorate dekat mounting board tersebut. :D

Jadi laa macam ni......

Total cost : RM1...

Review : My DIY Wedding Shoes

I bought plain shoes for RM30 at The Mines during sales. told you I ni jenis murah.  Ingat nak pakai plain macam tu je. Simple. 


But then, I saw baju Siti Sarah made by Hatta Dolmat and inspired with the beading dekat tangan.

So I went to Bunga Riben, Masjid Jamek and with my imagination, I bought segala beads. I didnt bring my shoes so I hentam jee the colour.

I spent 15 ringgit for the beads.

I never done beading before. Seriously. Again, I main hentam jahit bead dekat my shoes. 

Hentam hentam hentam, thank god the outcome sangat fabulous. 

Love it!!!

I guna jarum and benang biasa. But you kena ikat 2-3 kali untuk make the beads kukuh dekat kasut... 

Not necessary kasut RM100 je sedap pakai, RM30 pon comfortable.. :)

Minimize is my thing yaw!

Review : Akad Nikah Attire

Remember this post with my baju akad nikah sketches?

Well.. This is the outcome...

 

Seriously, Najib Salman would never disappointed you. 

My kain actually is all patch with flower. I bought in Naif, Dubai for RM60/5 yards. Seriously murah.

Then, I requested Najib to patch the flower to my veil macam Elyana tu but make it very simple. :)

My neck and dekat perut were nicely beaded with pearl and swaroski

My theme is Arabian. Banyak yang tanya why I x pakai purdah or bling bling dekat kepala. Well, actually tu semua fashion belly dancer. Bukan fashion arab wedding. Perempuan arab nikah pakai evening gown.

For Abdillah, he wore full Arab's overcoat and jubah. Bought it in Abu Dhabi too.

Makeup is from Dini Alias while hairdo is from Abang Lan. Diorang sgt sporting gilaaA!!!

For akad nikah shoes, I terjumpa dekat street market Dubai for RM30. terus grab.. :P

Then, I paste sticker, "The Bride" , saja nak kasi nampak cool. :D

I ni jenis murah. :)

Alhamdulillah..

Everything went out smoothly alhamdulillah... and I am now officially a wife of Syed Ahmad Abdillah Buncit..

I nangis like orang gilaa during akad nikah, depan segala makcik, pakcik, kawan dan segala... sgt embarrassing..  fine!

its weird to have someone sleeping beside you at night..
sgt tak overhelm to pack things up for two people..

itulahhhh...
everything seems to be very new..
and it very stressful to think of, could I be a good wife?

I am in a new journey...
as a wife..

even tough  , the very first day, I FAIL BUAT NESCAFE.. (takde 3 in 1)

Review : My Wedding Cards

I've promised you my card.

And here it is. A simple yet adorable card in my perspective.

and more importantly, its cheap!!!!~

I did not really fancy flowers, cartoons or my own picture in my invitations cards.

I prefer to keep it as simple as I can yet elegance.

Moreover, I designed the card. I make my card ada Islamic touch sikit with putting Khat in the first page. Love it! :)

I make two types of cards, nipis and hardcover. Hardcover ada riben and it is for family members (300pcs). While nipis will be given to friends (500 pcs).

I make my cards at Jalan Brunei dekat a small printing shop. That Apek sgt cool ok! :) With a good bargaining, I managed to get a very cheap card!

Nipis : 60sen /pc - With inside and outside kertas keras. Card paper
Hardcover : 1.60rm/pc - With one condition.

Condition dia, you have to attach everything by urself. Meaning, you kena assemble/ gam everything, carboard ngan kertas, which is a very small matter to me.. which i suruh si buncit buat eveything since he is always free kan?

Sekali sekali jadi diktator apa salahnyaaa, kan????

But to those who do not know, Penang was known to the world as a beautiful, exotic holiday destination. Penang ada Komtar ok! Although Komtar is old but he is handsome!

ok fine. If you thinks komtar is lame, why dont you go to the beach in Batu Feringgi where you guys can go jet skiing, canoeing, parachuting, snorkeling, usha pakwe-in, etc etc. Interesting aite?

sunburn? lets go and see Francis Light  at fort cornwalis or esplanade. Dont you think it is time to proper and understand history?  Francis Light is history. Shariffah Alawiyah is best.

Oh, have you heard of Bukit Bendera? you all boleh daki or take a train, and have a look of the island of Penang as a whole there.. eh.. i saw wedding in Simpang Ampat!!

The food in Penang is awesomely sedap! Penang is the Heaven of food kan? Have a try of laksa penang dekat gurney drive, pasemboq!, nasi kandaq line clear, nasi beriani hameediyah, air sirap + kelapa, jeruk, tauka rendang, sup ekor depan Continental hotel, nasi minyak rumah yaya, bihun singapore, mee goreng mamak, etc etc.

So basically, you wont regret of coming to Penang. ohh actually, you wont regret to come to penang on 28th may 2011. he he he he... :)

I've done with my wedding cards, And I love it. I lurve it!! I lap it!

With the small price I paid, I think its totally worth it. It is a simple card. Very simple. But again, I el-o-ve-e it!!!~

I will shared the pictures and informations about it end of this month. InsyaAllah.

Brooches are now a trend. People are now going for vintage style. Most of brides will go for brooch bouquet.(I am!) Make it as corsages lah. Tu lah. Ni lah.

But have you ever think of putting it in cards? I do!

Looks exclusive kan?

And its will costs you quite err.. ermm.. a lot.!

I'm have been thinking of cheaper way. Let me try whether jadi or not and will load and share it soon. Soon!

Of Akad Nikah Dress

At last, i did it...

I am wayyyyy last minute. It is hard for me to gain trust to people to do with my akad nikah kain.

I found him while blog walking. Love him. Make an appointment. Have a chat with him. Love him even more. Ask him to design. He showed the design. Freaking in love the design. Chat with him. Impressed with his endeavor. Reminds him of myself. Love him again. Book him.

As simple as that.

The red is where he will attach the beading.

Working days per month = 20

Working hours per day = 8 hours

Working days = 6.67 days.

Sleeping duration = 7 hours / day

For 53 days = 371 hours.

Sleeping =  15.45 days

Mandi Makan Berangan = 4 hours/day

My moments of time = 8.83 days.

Saturday Sunday Lepak = 14 days.

53 days - 6.67 - 15.45 - 8.83 -14 = 8 days

Why blaming me?

Some people told me : If you plan too much or have high hope on your wedding ; your ceremony will be a disaster.

Some people tambah lagi : Buat lebih-lebih, Allah balas jadi disaster.

MasyaAllah.

But myself told me : If you work hard, you will get what you what. Berusaha is berjaya.


I diy-ed most of my wedding stuff. I cut and paste my flower inside the car. I belit my ribbons while in hospital. I fold my crane in bus. And thus, people thinks I am a person with a lot of planning since they see me slalu buat kerja-kerja kahwin.

I do this not because I want my weds to be grand2. Tak. Bukan.
I do this because I am very passionate to do what I am doing right now.

I love weddings! I am waiting for mine for all this times. And it is wrong for me to be very passionate?

I love belit ribbons.
I love googling ideas and trends.
I don't have any problem walking around Masjid Jamek for 5-8 hours every week

I have no car. I took bus and train.
I angkut my wedding stuff banyak2 naik bus/train. Alone. Berat.
I have no complain.
Kaki lenguh, Sakit belakang.
I have no complain.
I am busy. Very busy. I have no time for myself even.
I have no complain.
Sometimes, I  have shot of money. (I am buying a house. That's why)
I have no complain.

But I am complaining now,
Why am I being blame for giving an extra attention to my wedding?


This is my time of my life. Just let me do what I want. Boleh? Please.

And please jangan, nanti masa wedding, something goes wrong and you cakap "Tu laa, expect lebih2, kan Allah dah balas"
